Raise3D Announces the Launch of Pro3 HS Series and a new Hyper Core Filament Line

Jun 4, 2024

Beyond Speed: 3D Printing Large Composite Parts Made Simple

Irvine (CA), June 4th, 2024 – Today, Raise3D, renowned for its flexible manufacturing solutions, is excited to introduce the Pro3 HS Series, a new addition to its additive manufacturing production line, marking a step forward in AM production.

As FFF printer standards evolve towards higher-speed printing with composite materials to meet demanding engineering and manufacturing needs, Raise3D has integrated hyper-speed capabilities directly into the Pro3 Series, eliminating the need for additional kits or add-ons. Combined with an upgraded motion control system, the Pro3 HS Series achieves enhanced speed, precision, and accuracy.

The Pro3 HS Series brings the following improvements:

  • Built-in Hyper FFF® Technology – Equipped with a high-flowrate hot end and an active vibration reduction algorithm, the Raise3D Pro3 HS Series can reach printing speeds of up to 300mm/s for Premium, Industrial, Hyper Speed and Hyper Core composite filaments.

  • Motion Control System Upgrade – To further increase the precision of the extruder and stabilize movement accuracy, the Pro3 HS Series printers have been newly upgraded with a closed-loop stepper motor, together with double-diaphragm couplings and optimized axis structure for better tightness and stability.
  • New Printing Build Plate – The new printing build plate provides a more uniform and powerful magnetic attraction to suppress model warpage. Thinner by 1 mm, it heats up to 100°C two minutes faster than previous versions. The faster heating speed reduces waiting time and improves print efficiency.

  • 2.5kg Large Roll Storage Boxes (sold separately) – To reduce the frequent manual filament replacement, the Pro3 HS Series printers dual-extruder can now print from two external 2.5kg material boxes. When one filament spool runs out of material, the second print head can automatically switch to another spool, so the printing time is extended without human intervention.

  • Hyper Core® Filament and New Hot-end Come in the Box – Raise3D’s newly introduced Hyper Core® filaments offer a fast melting and cooling rate for high-speed printing with improved Z-direction strength and stiffness, making them ideal for demanding end-use applications. Each Pro3 HS Series printer shipment includes an extra high-flowrate hot end with a silicon nozzle and a roll of Hyper Core® filament to make composite printing more accessible.

According to Edward Feng, Raise3D’s Global CEO, “With the Pro3 HS Series, we now offer integrated hyper-speed capabilities tailored for the production of large parts using composite materials. The upgraded closed-loop stepper motor further enhances motion control, resulting in more precise and accurate printing beyond increased printing speed.”

During the beta testing period, a Pro3 HS Plus printer was made available to Droog Moto, an electric motorcycle company creating bespoke, build-to-order machines. They described their experience as follows:

The Pro3 Plus HS has been a total game changer for us at Droog Moto. The printer is consistently providing us with clog-free results from the SiC hot end nozzle and Hyper Core filaments. The Z-Axis bonding is proving to be much stronger compared to other composite materials we have previously used, which is a must for use in motorsports applications. Most of the competition can only print normal filaments such as PLA at fast print speeds but we are printing the Hyper Core Carbon Fiber ABS filament at 150mm/s with amazing results for use parts and features. Composite filament printing allows us to really push the boundaries of what we can achieve at our company. We utilize 3D printing for aesthetic and mechanical parts so having a go-to filament that can be used for both applications really helps our production times and cost.

Together with the announcement of the Pro3 HS Series, Raise3D is also announcing new filaments for its Hyper Core filament line, developed for applications that demand greater strength, durability, and heat resistance than what is provided by other thermoplastic parts. This revolutionary line of composite materials has been specially engineered with a fiber-rich inner core and increased heat conductivity for rapid melting and cooling, to ensure consistent and reliable high-speed printing, and accelerate production of composite parts with a strong Z-axis layer bond.

Templates for the following Hyper Core filaments will soon be available through the newly released ideaMaker software 5.0.6 with Pro3 HS Series support:

As well as the following filaments:

The Hyper Core filament line is also compatible with the Raise3D Pro3 printer, provided the Hyper Speed Upgrade and the Hot End Assembly with Silicon Carbide Nozzle are installed.

The Pro3 HS Series have begun shipping to the Chinese market since May 2024, and will be available for pre-sale in the US, Europe, and the rest of the world starting today, June 4th, 2024. Deliveries are estimated to begin at the end of June for the US and in September for Europe.
