New Features

1. Added Auto bed-leveling.

(1) Click “Auto-bed leveling” icon to enter the automatic leveling page. Choose from “Full Mode”, 64 points (8*8) leveling, or “Simple Mode”, 9 points (3*3) leveling as required. Clean the build plate, nozzles, and probes before running the leveling.

(2) After the leveling is complete, the 3D leveling data will display on the screen. Click on “Leveling data” icon to view the last leveling data, as shown below:

(3) Click “Settings” icon to enter the Auto-leveling setting page. The functions “Enable Mesh Data Compensation”, “Auto probe before each print” was added in the setting page. The functions “Turn off leveling compensation when using Raft”, “Heat up the heated bed before leveling” was added in the advanced settings, as shown below:

2. An added Built-in Offset Calibration guides.

(1) Click “Setting > Maintenance > Offset Calibration” to enter the 5-step Offset Calibration. Make sure all conditions are met before running the calibration.

a.The filament used in two nozzles is Raise3D Premium PLA filament.

b.Select the nozzle diameter that matches each nozzle.

c.Clean the heated bed and the nozzle.

(2) There are five steps in the calibration process, we recommend to completing them in order.

Step 1: Left Z Probe Offset

The Z-direction offset of the left nozzle is the distance from the nozzle to the build plate when the probe is triggered. If the distance is too far, the print will not stick to the build plate and the printing shape will be deformed. If the distance is too close, it will lead to too little extrusion, nozzle scraping, and other problems.

Step 2: Right Z Probe Offset

The Z-direction offset value of the right nozzle is measured in the same way as that of the left nozzle. Please follow the same measurement method.

Step 3: Bed Leveling

Automatically level the flatness of the build plate.

Step 4: R-Nozzle XY Offset

Calibrate the X/Y offset of the right nozzle.

Step 5: Dual-Color Cube
This step is to verify whether the X/Y offset value of the right nozzle is measured accurately by printing a dual-color cube.

3. Added Filament Parameter Calibration.

(1) Click “Setting > Maintenance > Filament Parameter Calibration” to enter the Filament Parameter Calibration.

(2) There are two tests for Filament Parameter Calibration. It is recommended to perform Filament Temperature Test first and then Filament Flowrate Test.

Filament Temperature Test: In the test, a tower model with different layer temperatures will print. Select the layer with a better printing effect to get the appropriate temperature of the filament. If the temperature is too high or too low, there will be stringing, hanging, abnormal surface effect, etc. Refer to the detailed example in the guide.

Filament Flowrate Test: In the test, a hollow cube with two layers will print. Measure the layer thickness of the cube and calculate with the standard value to derive the actual flow value. Refer to the flow test guide for the operation method.

4. Added “Automatic pause if any door is opened”.

(1) This feature can be enabled under “Setting > More Settings > Advanced Settings”.
The printer will pause the printing task if the front door is opened during the printing process when this feature is enabled.

(2) The printing task will automatically resume when the door is closed.

5. An added smart assistant at your fingertips.

The smart assistant EVE is launched. It will provide help when you access it.

6. An added one-click “Power Saving Mode”.

A one-click function “Power Saving Mode” was added. When you click the “Power Saving Mode” icon on the status bar, the printer will automatically enter the power saving mode. The screen will turn off, the LED strip light will turn off, and the light on the extruder will turn off. Enable the function with “Power Saving Mode” in « Setting > More Settings > Advanced Settings > Power Saving Mode« .

7. Added “External Cooling”.

External cooling is integrated in the Air Flow Manager. It will optimize the internal temperature distribution. It will control the inflow and outflow of the external air, and optimize the cooling performance.

8. Added “Filament Run-out Sensor”.

This feature can be enabled in “Setting > More Settings > Advanced Settings > Filament Run-out Sensor”. This function allows you to turn off or on the left/right filament run-out sensor individually.

9. The motion controller board firmware and the hotend controller board firmware are updated.

The firmware update path is « Setting > Update > Local Update > Update Motion Controller Board Firmware”.

Pro3-1.1.0207.firm is the firmware of the motion controller board, and Pro3-HCB-1.1.0121.mcufirm is the firmware of the hotend controller board.

Bug Fixed

  1. At times, the nozzle was too far from the build plate when the “Right Z Probe Offset” was running in the Offset Calibration Wizard. This issue is fixed.
  2. Fixed that the PID calibration could not start.
  3. When the printing task was paused, it occasionally failed to resume after powering off recovery. This issue is fixed.
  4. The bed-leveling data recording failure has been fixed.
  5. The hot end serial number display issue has been fixed.
  6. Occasionally, filament loading and unloading could not be stopped. This issue is fixed.
  7. The printer could not print when a single interchangeable hot end was installed. This issue is fixed.
  8. Fixed the issue that AI assistant Eve in languages other than English could not reply to the user’s messages.
  9. Fixed the X-direction collision when running the “Right Z Probe Offset” with a nozzle other than 0.4mm.
