Rapid design iteration and functional prototyping with 3D printing can speed up the design process, enhance product development, and reduce overall costs.
3D printed rapid prototypes have the power to revolutionize the design iteration process with faster turnarounds and greater design complexity. Take control of the development cycle with in-house, on-demand rapid production.
Slash production lead times from weeks to days with rapid prototyping, boosting the pace of innovation and shortening the development cycle.
Create complex, precise, and even functional prototypes. Free from traditional manufacturing constraints, 3D printing offers unparalleled flexibility to customize designs and meet specific needs effortlessly.
Dramatically cut down on expenses with cost-effective materials and faster timelines.
Design the most effective product with accelerated iteration cycles that allow for rapid responses to feedback and quicker turnarounds.
“Excluding the design and modeling time of the component, in a total of 16 hours it was possible to obtain the first conceptual prototype (scanning, post-processing and prototyping) with fully satisfactory results. Furthermore, the cost… is around €100, against a market value of these special components which can reach up to €300.”
Before implementing the Raise3D Pro3 Plus, Mideco’s product development process involved having designers create a 3D model, sending the design to a supplier to create a sample, and dealing with extended lead times and high labor costs. With the introduction of 3D printing, prototyping and part production lead times were significantly reduced, resulting in cost savings throughout the design-to-production process.
Long lead times, high costs, and a lack of control over production were constant issues for Pianca when it came to traditional prototype commissions. 3D printing as an alternative had the potential to internalize the prototyping and testing phase, offering significant control and flexibility compared to conventional subtractive methods.
Raise3D proudly sponsored FIRST Tech Challenge Team 11212, The Clueless, at the 2024 FIRST World Championships in Houston. Team Clueless, based out of San Diego, California is composed of 14 passionate students from four local high schools.
Raise3D’s support and advanced 3D printing technology were instrumental in The Clueless’s success at the 2024 FIRST World Robotics Championship in Houston. Raise3D is honored to have played a part in The Clueless’s journey and remains committed to supporting educational initiatives that inspire the next generation of engineers and creators
Kokido Development Limited is a world leader in Swimming Pool Robotic and Electric Cleaners, headquartered in Hong Kong.
KOKIDO faced a problem where the small parts that require ergonomic testing or fine-tuning of their appearance can’t be immediately tested. It introduced one Raise3D Pro3 Plus with the Hyper Speed Upgrade Kit for prototyping related components and tools in the pool robotic cleaners. Alan, the head of the Product Development Team of Kokido, praised the Raise3D Pro3 Plus, “the speed, and also the tolerance is within our standard.”
The Nara Institute of Science and Technology was established in 1991 as an independent graduate school without a national faculty, specializing in the field of science and technology. In order to create test components and fixture parts used in robot experiments, the NAIST Robot Learning Laboratory uses 3D printers. Professor Hachimine Takumi of the Laboratory states that both the Raise3D E2 and Raise3D Pro3 are capable of multi-color printing and exhibit excellent compatibility with a wide range of materials, as well as superior printing stability, which has allowed them to accelerate the research activities.
