Hyper Core PPA GF25

A new-generation of industrial fiber-reinforced composite filaments for Hyper FFF®

The Hyper Core filament line is defined as a new-generation of professional and industrial fiber-reinforced composite filaments for Hyper FFF®. Fiber-reinforced composite filaments are well known material for end-use parts production and heavy-duty applications with superior strength, stiff and heat resistance. However, high-speed printing using fiber-reinforced filament brings many challenges, such as lower flowability and poorer interlayer bonding quality, and quicker wearing out of the nozzle.

To overcome these challenges, Raise3D has developed a new extrusion technology to form a cross-section of the filament with a fiber-rich inner core and a polymer-coated outer skin for the Hyper Core family. During high-speed FFF printing, the thick polymer skin of Hyper Core PPA GF25 filament improves polymer healing and welding process across the interface of adjacent layers and lines. The Hyper Core PPA GF25 is optimized for a fast melt rate in the hot end as well as a good balance of print efficiency, quality, performance and cost.

Thanks to the special coated skin and fiber (25wt.%) distribution structure, Hyper Core PPA GF25 exhibits a high stiffness (6.6 GPa), strength (98 MPa), heat resistance (189 ℃) as well as outstanding printing quality. Hyper Core PPA GF25 is an ideal choice for diverse industrial applications where high performance, stability and cost-efficiency are required.

Printing Notifications:

  • Abrasion of the brass nozzle happens frequently when printing Hyper Core PPA GF25. Using an abrasion-resistant nozzle, such as a hardened steel and above grade-nozzle is highly recommended. Click here to learn more about how to replace the nozzle on the Hyper Speed Hot End Assembly 0.4mm (Pro3 Series Only).
  • Please dry the filament for a long time, at least 8 hours at 80-100°C or more to get the full print quality of Raise3D Hyper Core PPA GF25.
  • After drying, we recommend storing Hyper Core PPA GF25 filament inside the Raise3D Filament Dry Box during the printing.
  • After printing, it is recommended to anneal the printed part at 80-100°C for 8 hours.
  • After annealing, a maximum of 0.5% dimensional shrinkage may be observed along the Z-axis depending on infill and layer height, with no discernible dimensional shrinkage in XY-axis.
  • If Hyper Core PPA GF25 is used as the support material for itself, please remove the support structure after annealing. Otherwise, the support structure may be permanently bonded to the model after moisture absorption.
