Hyper Core PPA CF25

A new-generation of industrial fiber-reinforced composite filaments for Hyper FFF®

The Hyper Core filament line is oriented towards a new-generation of professional and industrial fiber-reinforced composite filaments for Hyper FFF®.

Fiber-reinforced composite filaments are the ideal material for industrial and end-use parts production and heavy-duty applications with superio strength, stiff and heat resistance. However, high-speed printing using fiber-reinforced filament brings many challenges, such as lower flowability and poorer interlayer bonding quality, and quicker wearing out of the nozzle.

To overcome these challenges, Raise3D Hyper Core PPA CF25 filament is an extrusion technology that has been specially developed to form a fiber-rich inner core where most of the carbon fiber (25 wt.%) is well-aligned and distributed. During high-speed printing, the outstanding heat conductivity of the carbon-fiber rich core will speed up filament melting in the hot end. Meanwhile, more residual thermal energy is obtained from the fiber-rich inner core, improving polymer healing and welding processes across the interface of adjacent and lines. Compared to the regular PPA CF, the Hyper Core PPA CF25 significantly improves the Z-direction strength, the surface quality and also the nozzle lifetime. It is ideal for industrial grade applications where high performance, stability and efficiency are required.

  • Developed for Hyper FFF®
  • Superior strength and stiffness
  • Tailored fiber distribution
  • Outstanding surface finish
  • Excellent interlayer bonding
  • Lower nozzle abrasion

Printing Notifications:

  • Abrasion of the brass nozzle happens frequently when printing Hyper Core PPA CF25. Using an abrasion-resistant nozzle, such as a hardened steel and above grade-nozzle is highly recommended. Click here to learn more about how to replace the nozzle on the Hyper Speed Hot End Assembly 0.4mm (Pro3 Series Only).
  • Please dry the filament at 80-100°C for 6-12 hours to get the full printing quality of Raise3D Hyper Core PPA CF25.
  • After drying, we recommend storing Hyper Core PPA CF25 filament inside the Raise3D Filament Dry Box during the printing.
  • After printing, it is recommended to anneal the printed part at 80-100°C for 8 hours.
  • After annealing, a maximum of 0.5% dimensional shrinkage may be observed along the Z-axis depending on infill and layer height, with no discernible dimensional shrinkage in XY-axis.
  • If Hyper Core PPA CF25 is used as the support material for itself, please remove the support structure after annealing. Otherwise, the support structure may be permanently bonded to the model after moisture absorption.
